OK so I thought things over and I have found blogging to be therapeutic in many ways. I am not ready to give it up and let's face it, costs a lot less than a session with the shrink!! But I also don't want to talk only about gay stuff, I think that is what limits my ideas and I'm just going to integrate my life into one whole blog. I used to have an old blog from "back when life wasn't as complicated"--not really it has always been complicated, I was posting things there and then stopped pretty much when this blog was born, so I resurrected it, I have done a couple of postings from there and just come out altogether, no more having double accounts for email and stuff. So here it is:
http://lifeismg.blogspot.com/
I have posted a link off my Facebook profile but I am not going to announce it to anyone, I'll just let people find their way into it and catch up with my regular life and just let things evolve naturally. I suppose it is OK to link my new blog from the Moho Directory since I have a link there so free to update your links as well.
Thanks for the encouragement to keep going! Does that sound like a happy medium? :-)
Hugs,Miguel

Skribit thinghy there on the right
I try to come up with interesting things to write about, ideas, commentaries, but sometimes I draw a blank and don't quite know what to say or post something completely inane --Like this!!
In order to maybe get better organized with my thoughts, I added the Scribit gadget if you have any ideas shoot them my way, it allows you to do annonymous questions, so feel free to ask.
(This is the disclosure part where I reserve the right to answer the things I think are appropriate and/or not answer something if I don't feel comfortable talking about it, but I'm pretty much an open book, I think I can handle it! We'll see!)

Musicals Part # Dos
Since I last posted about musicals I've been making it part of my morning routine to listen to the Broadway hits on Pandora Radio and enhancing my education (or is it assimilation?)
I think the babe cried a small tear when I told him about it this morning. I was amazed that he knew the lyrics to all the songs that came on the station while drank coffee and he helped me bake stuff for my sister's dinner to which he replied: "sweetie I've been gay for much longer than you, besides my mother loves musicals & I've watched them all my life"
To which I said: "that's a lie! I'm older than you & I've been gay all my life, never mind that most of it was spent in the closet, ha!!"
To which he said: "if you know the next song that comes on I'll shut up" next song came & I didn't know it (damn!) and he made fun while not only singing but also doing the full routine to some piece from The Music Man...
I hope I'm lucky enough to marry him someday! :-)

I wish I had something purple to wear...
I dug in my closet and I honestly have nothing purple to wear and didn't have time to go find something at the store so it is going to be symbolic. I also changed my FB profile picture, no fuss or big announcements.
My daughter wrote a piece for her class on bullying which she let me read (she hardly ever lets me do that). It said that she had been bullyied in school previously, broke my heart, but she is a resilient kid and has learned to stand up for herself and I think has started catching the bug that she can also stand out for others who are not able to do it for themselves.
Small things like this can sometimes make the biggest difference.

Soccer or Futbol?
I am not a huge sports nut, but I like to watch the big events (Olympics, NBA finals, World Cup, etc). Is it the rock star celebrity status of the players? or is it the sportsmanship? Oh yeah that's it...
I'm obviously watching the World Cup for the wrong (or right reasons, depending how you look at it!) he, he, he!
Whatever the reasons, I'm definitely enjoying the eye candy, especially in the ceremonial exchange of Jerseys at the end of the games!!
Grrrrrrrrrrr!!

Overwhelmed for no reason?
I don't know if this happens to any other fellow Mohos but sometimes I get reading Fellow blogs and I get weighed down by their trials and struggles. I wish I could run & hug them, fix or make whatever is making them feel bad vanish--I realize that I can't do that in real life, but just can't help feel that way. Often times I find myself wiping tears off my eyes reading blogs and have to make myself stop reading, as I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders.
Why is it that we tend to write more about struggles than we do about good milestones or just menial life stuff? (oh wait, that's what Facebook is for, right?) Is it that this kind of forum helps us vent our frustrations, secret fears and hopes while we put a good persona in the other social media? I know I do as much as I'd like to deny it.
How do you deal with the feelings of overwhelm?
How do you get the world off your shoulders?
How do you just focus on something else?
How do you let go?
How do you?
How?

Gay Marriage in Mexico City
Wow, of all places in the world, Mexico City is getting there, praise be!
This Article has details. Still not 100% there, but getting closer and closer to equality.
I remember strolling through downtown Mexico City a couple of years ago and seeing gay couples in the subway and in the park, some of them having very openly public display of affection, but no more than hetero couples do.
¡VIVA MEXICO Y LA IGUALDAD HUMANA!!
(Ok this is the part where everyone is supposed to shout back: VIVA!!!--in case you didn't know! :-) )

Touched by an Angel...
Hey, not that kind of touching!! :)
I haven't posted in a bit. Too many things going around to even keep up, but I'm still here and I'm OK. I received a message yesterday from a fellow Moho blogger, just one of those "Hey, hope you're OK, holler if you need to talk" things that turned into a couple of hours of chat. He knows who he is, I don't think he'd like to be pointed out in the crowd (or maybe he would...better play it safe!) but honestly it could have been any of the guys whose blogs I read and identify with their challenges, struggles and difficulties...what an amazing community!!!
I can't believe how easy it was to open up to someone and talk so freely and openly with another person. I have a hard time dealing with the holidays, I typically am a very outgoing and positive person, but this time of the year just seems so suffocating that it does bring out the worst in me--can't figure that one out--anyway, talking to this person literally made my day and turned my attitude around. I am amazed by the level of love and generosity that I've received from this community and the full exercise of charity, concern and unconditional love. The only thing I can think that is honorable is to return the favor to others. I wish everyone of you a Merry Christmas whether you are with loved ones, friends or even if family means this online one; again, my heart is touched and feel privileged to be part of it.

Craziness
I haven't been able to post for a while...work is insane and many other every day things going on all at once. I've been working on a couple of postings, but they just don't seem to be anything that I would consider post-worthy.
I promise I will do better and get my act together here soon...it isn't like there aren't even any current events going on to discuss.
